Melody Crombie Presidential Writing: 2015

Today, I would like to remind everyone that God is the ultimate judge and final authority on the affairs of man.  He alone will judge the earth in righteousness and pay every person back for what they have done with the time and resources given to them while living on this planet.  To the person who has acted rightly, pursuing justice, trusting God and doing good - that person will be granted eternal life and will go to be with God in Paradise.  To the person who has ignored God and lived for selfish pleasure -that person will be granted eternal punishment, forever separated from God; his soul will be cast into Hell.

God created you in his image and has given you a free will.  You have the freedom to choose who you will serve.  Will you obey God and live to please him, even when that choice seems unpopular or difficult?

Or will you ignore God and follow what your 'flesh' demands, ultimately settling for your own death and destruction?

Today, more than ever before, we are facing a turning point in our Nation's history.  A decision must be made by every citizen of this great land.  The question is straightforward and ancient, as old as time itself; “Will we follow man or follow after God?”

God has given us instruction and direction, commandments and promises.  They are found in the Holy Bible, the book on which our Nation was founded.  By following God's laws, the United States has had a long history of peace and prosperity.  We have found hope and comfort in times of tragedy and strife.

Recently, there are people who have openly broken away from following after God and have demanded that our leaders, lawmakers and citizens conform to their standard.  This will be to our peril.  Nowhere in human history does God allow people to make up their own rules without reaping the consequences for their actions.

In fact, the punishment for following after man, rather than obeying God has resulted in sure and swift judgment, punishment and disaster; 'Acts of God' that happen suddenly, with little to no warning.

From the beginning, God has given us a good and spacious land filled with abundance.  He has given us the ability to prosper, grow food, build homes, settle down and raise our children in relative peace and safety.  God instructed us to love and obey him.   He also instructed parents to teach their children, “In the way of the Lord,” so they would have peace.  Parents, have you done this?  Have you modeled Godly living in your homes, in front of your children?

The Television, Internet and public schools have NOT instructed our children, “In the way of the Lord.”  This job was NOT given to the Church, the Government or the Police Department but to parents.  Parents, we alone have been instructed to,  “Train our children in the way they should go so when they are old they will not depart from it.”

It has been almost fifteen years since September 11th (9-11) attacks. Most of us remember that day clearly, as if it were yesterday. We watched in horror as terrorists flew airplanes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon causing death, destruction and nation-wide panic.  This was a wake-up call for America.  We cried out to God in our confusion, anguish and despair; we prayed for mercy.

God heard us!

Many promises and vows were made to God that day and in the days that followed 9-11.  I would like to ask you today, have you kept the vows and promises you made?  Have you fulfilled them?

The news headlines suggest that we have not kept our promises.  We have not fulfilled our vows to God.

Once the rubble was cleared, the memory started to fade, we picked up the pieces of our lives and over the years, went back to business-as-usual.

This decision to ignore our promises, hoping that God would somehow forget, was done at great risk, not only to our children but to the future of our nation.

Today, I would like to ask every American to look soberly at their lives.   Are you living for God, following and obeying him?  Or are you living in such a way that will invite ruin and destruction on you and your family; bringing God's wrath on our country?

The Bible says, “We will reap what what we have sown,'” individually and nationally. The simple truth is worth repeating; if we obey God and do good, we will reap good things.  If we disobey God we will reap a harvest of ruin and destruction.

This ruin and destruction will be far worse than the events of 9-11.  One, “Act of God” could wipe the United States completely off the map - forever!

You may wonder why God asks you to follow him.  The Bible describes God as the Good Shepherd:

Psalm 23 puts it this way: “The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,  he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

The Lord is My Shepherd, He's Your Shepherd, it's Personal.

God cares about you and your needs.

He longs to gather you to himself but all we like sheep have gone astray.

Our immoral behavior has kept us separated from him because God is HOLY.

He sees our heart and knows it's deceitfully wicked. This means we can't rely on our heart or emotions to guide us because they will lead us astray.  We are all born with a sin nature.

We know that children don't need to be taught how to lie, cheat and steal; it comes naturally. And it only gets worse as we grow older.

Instead we need to learn how to love, tell the truth, have compassion for our fellow man.  It's nearly impossible to do the right thing.

God not only wants to Heal our heart but he is willing to give us a New heart and set us free from the disease of sin.

Just as the “Y” chromosome is passed down relatively intact from the father to the son, so our sin was passed down through the human race from Adam, the first man.

Jesus Christ bypassed this sinful, diseased familial line by being conceived by the Holy Spirit and being born of the virgin, Mary.

We may wonder how Jesus can be both God and man?

Consider the modern day computer gamer who sits down in front of a computer screen and enters a made-up world.

The game allows the user to customize a player to look any way he wants.  He can insert the player anywhere in the game and direct everything about him while he is in the game.

God, the creator of the universe, who said, “Earth is my footstool and Heaven is my throne,” has made something far more sophisticated than a computer game to enter time and space and interact with his creation.

You may feel like you've gone too far from God.

I would like to assure you that God can bring you back into a right relationship with him TODAY - no matter how far you've gone.  His word says, “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 8:39
He's willing and waiting to guide you back.

When I travel, I like to use my GPS. If I take a wrong turn it flashes, “Redirecting” to get me back on the right path. My GPS doesn't condemn or abuse me. Similarly, God will never condemn you because HE LOVES YOU.

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” -John 3:16-17

When you ask God for help he will guide you back with something far better than a GPS.  He has given us his word, the Bible and the Holy Spirit.  He will use these things and other Christians to help guide you back into a right relationship.

You might decide to wait and ask God for forgiveness after you die.

The Bible makes it very clear that it will be Too Late.

Earth is the testing ground.  Before we die God gives us two options; God's way -which leads to heaven -or ignore God and go to hell.  He has given you a free will and you can choose where you will spend eternity.

On average, 150,000 people die around the world  Every Single Day.

We are all just a breath and a heartbeat away from death.

Life is short and eternity is forever so CHOOSE WISELY because TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION

You may say following God's rules are too hard - but consider how important rules are when you are out on the road.

All it takes is for one driver to stop obeying the rules of the road to ruin your whole day.  Rules and morality matter, not only out on the road but in our personal lives, our schools, businesses and our government.

It will be worth the effort.

Jesus told this parable, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.  When a man found it, he hid it again and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.”  -Matthew 13:44

What this parable tells us that we can be 100% SOLD OUT FOR JESUS.

God said he will honor those who love and obey him.

In 2016, you will have an opportunity to elect a new President of the United States. I would like to ask every voter to hold our leaders to the highest standard, a Godly standard.  I urge you to vote for the candidate who will follow after God with their whole heart and encourage others to do the same.  I, Melody Crombie, am a Presidential Candidate for the Republican Party.  As a long-time follower of Jesus Christ,  Christian Evangelist, wife and mother; I vow, with God's help, to bring our country back to Godliness.  For it is only in Godliness that the United States will, once again, achieve true peace and Greatness!
